Teaching and Scrapbooking

I am blessed with the ability to teach others what I know about scrapbooking and papercrafting. The classes I design and facilitate are fun and informative! To date, I have been teaching hands-on scrapbooking classes for over five years in my home and classroom. I am now branching out into a local community college to teach a series of crafting classes. They range from scrapbooking to glass etching and more. As I grow and learn, I will share my experiences and expertise in this blog. Check in often to see where my journey takes me next!

My First San Jac Class

Wahoo!! After designing and promoting my classes since March, I am finally going to have my first class at San Jacinto College (South Campus). Getting the word out and students registered has been slow going but I am blessed to say that the wonderful staff at San Jac never gave up.

The class is Cutter's Class and Crop. It is a technique-based class hilighting the many different ways to take pre-existing die cuts and transform them into works of art that meet your individual project needs. No more settling for what you get. Make it what you want with stamps, ink, powders, paint, and more. Instead of spending more money to get new pieces, take your old ones and update them. Talk about 'scrapping your stash'!!!

The great thing about this class, though, is the CROP!!! After I teach participants how to use the different techniques being covered in the class, they will be able to spend the remainder of the time in an open crop. Here they will be able to pratice the techniques and get great tips and ideas from me and their other classmates. Isn't that what crops are all about... fun, fellowship, and fresh ideas!

I will keep you all posted on how things went and may even share some pictures.
